BFC Folding stem assembly (adjustable for ahead, 1-1/4")

This high quality folding stem fits all Bike Friday bikes with 1 1/4" headsets, including most Pocket bikes. Makes folding your stem quick and easy. Made by Kalloy, it can replace the standard stems on all Bike Fridays with 1 1/4" headsets. This means Pocket Models - New World Tourist, Pocket Crusoe, Pocket Llama, and some Air bikes fitting the above criterion.

The folding stem is adjustable to match your preferred stem height.

The folding stem has a base coupler that would rest on top of the headset. Measuring from the top of the headset to the tip of the riser on the folding stem
Max extension: 17 inches
Minimum extension: 13.5 inches

Please note that if you have a Custom Adjustable or a Custom Ultralight stem, you will need to purchase an Ahead stem ($25-$28) compatible with the folding stem.
To best ensure that we get the proper sizing, we recommend you send back your Custom Adjustable Stem or a Custom Ultralight and we can then size your folding stem based on your current stem's dimensions.

Please note: the stem body and lockring collar are stealth black. The adjustable riser is silver. We cannot repaint the riser due to clearance needed in the stem body.
