This alloy standard bike rack for use with Bike Friday has plenty of clearance for use with Underbags and a 40 pound weight limit.
Standard black. This rack cannot be repainted.
Some assembly is required.. This is a good solid rack for every day use. For heavier loads and easy packing, see our Bike Friday folding rack for Pocket bikes, part ID 9461.
Please note installation instructions: this rack includes straight struts for connecting the front of the rack to the chain stay brazeon rack mounts on your Bike Friday. We use this rack to give you another option for an inexpensive yet effective rack option. The front struts need to be bent to approximately 45 degrees to connect with the braze-ons on your Bike Friday.
Option 1: Install the struts on your rack and leave the connecting bolts loose so the strut can slide easily. Bend the struts using your thumb applying light pressure about 4" from the end that connect to the rack. This will create a rounded shape, then adjust the amount of strut under the rack to get the rack to be perpendicular to the ground and tighten the bolts. You can also bend the struts on a vise or against a sharp edge easily with light pressure. Option 2: Install the rack to your dropouts only, and adjust so it is perpendicular to the ground. Measure the distance between the rack and the chainstay brazeons. Bend the struts to fit using a vise, sharp edge or your thumb with light pressure. Install and tighten down.
